Transparency in edit mode different that preview
- 2 years ago
Hi everyone,
I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.79.30921.0, we've included a couple of fixes.
One of the bugs we've fixed is:
- Images with transparency appeared darker in the Storyline 360 editor
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!
Do you have dim on your layer enabled?
Thank you for the question. This slide doesn't have any layers other than the base layer. I did try unchecking and checking the Dim box, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Hi Ben,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this snag.
I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:
- Are able to replicate the behavior in a new project file, or is this issue specific to just the project file shown in the screenshot?
- Does changing the level of transparency affect both edit and preview mode?
- Does downgrading to Storyline 360 Update 78 help?
Additionally, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

there is a problem with Storyline 3.79 and transparency in authoring mode
if this is a real problem for you - downgrade to 3.78
