Trouble uploading video to Rise
Hello,
I have been working on creating courses in Rise. For two weeks, everything was going fine. This week, however, videos won't upload. No matter what computer or internet I try, videos won't upload to the video multimedia block. I have reset my modem and router at work and at home, and reset both of my computers, but still no go. Both computers are new, one is a Mac less than 2 years old, and the other is a PC laptop that I purchased 3 weeks ago.
I'm not sure what else to try, any suggestions?

We were having this issue in our organization and discovered the root cause was that when working through a VPN, the VPN timed out creating the error. We were able to work around it by 1) downloading the video to our desktop or local drive, 2) disconnecting from the VPN, 3) loading the video into Rise, 4) reconnecting to the VPN.
It took us a long time to figure this out, so I thought I would add it to this thread in case it helps anyone else. Especially with more and more of us working remotely.- hazelBStaff
Thank you Kelsy for sharing your solution with the community!

Hi Heather! Sorry to hear that your video isn't uploading. Are you getting an error message?

Hi there, I am currently having issues uploading video content - have tried on different browsers and different laptops but getting the message that there's an issue with the network or server or that I'm using an unsupported format (tried both mov and mp4). It seems to be uploading and processing for some time, then I get the error message. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi, I am unable to upload videos since last night. It was working fine however since last night it just says it's uploading but the video doesn't appear and it is less than 1 GB. I'm using Chrome and have cleared the cache/cookies, etc but no result. I have uploaded videos earlier and there were no issues so not sure what's going on now. Please can you support? Thanks

Hi there Fashion Learning! So sorry to hear that you cannot upload a video to Rise.
Does it happen to just one video or all videos you upload? Have you tried other browsers and does the same issue occur?

Hello, I am trying to upload a video on Rise 360. I have tried to upload and re-upload too many times, but it always gets stuck on video processing. My video is an hour long, but I have uploaded these in the past and have done so successfully.
Please help!- hazelBStaff
Hi Mubaraka! So sorry to hear that you are having trouble uploading a video to Rise. Are you having difficulty with just one video or all videos? Does the issue occur in all supported browsers?

Not sure if it is helpful, but if you are using a VPN, we have to disconnect from VPN to upload most videos into Rise.

Hello. I am attempting to upload videos into a Rise course, and it is preventing any video over 1gb in size from uploading. All i get is an "Error" right away when I select a file that is over 1 but under 2gb, but even a file that is .95gb is uploaded without a problem. The error message is non descript. I have not run into this issue before today, so not sure what may be triggering it. Can slower than normal loading speeds trigger this error?
Hi Robert!
Sorry to hear you've hit this snag when uploading videos to Rise 360!
Does this behavior occur across all supported browsers, or is it local to one? Also, have you had a chance to explore the other troubleshooting steps my teammate Hazel shared earlier in the discussion? If so, and you're still running into errors, do you mind sharing one of the video files that's giving you trouble? Feel free to attach it here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
We'll delete it from our system as soon as we've finished testing!

In order to keep going on the project, I broke down my video presentations to under a gb each in order to get them uploaded. I will have a look at Hazel's discussions to see if there is something there that will help.
I will post what I find, thanks for your response.Regards,
Rob

Steven,
While revisiting this issue today, my first test was to try again with the same browser, did not clear the cache or change anything, and I managed to upload a 1.2 gb video. It did time out on me (see image) but after refreshing, the hoop was still spinning, and after another minute or 2 the video was successfully loaded.
I suspect that the quality of the connection during the upload may be a factor, given the warning from your service during the latest upload.

Hi
I am having the same issue with uploading a video.
Now and a few weeks ago. Different videos and courses, the only way I found around it was to come back several days later, which was a success, but not an ideal solution.
- I have logged out of Rise and my system with no success.
- The video seemingly uploads to the full circle, then just hangs there not completing
- The video is a 4 min long mp4 from Vyond
Cheers

Steve,
I found basically the same thing as you describe. One day it would not load and another day it worked. The odd think was that when the problem first came up, 1gb appeared to be the brick wall - .9gb would upload. Days later, I was able to upload videos over 1gb. My videos are produced in Prem Pro.
It has been a bit since i've uploaded a video, but will have some in the next several months, so will watch if the issue comes up again.
