A hidden 360 Feature Scorm Videos

Nov 10, 2016

This is a little feature in Articulate 360 but could of use to so many users out there. Especially those who use go animate video scribe, and powtoons.

Any Peek video you upload can be downloaded as a scorm and you can set what percentage complete the video needs to be!

But even better you can upload any video and download the same way, this is so cool! It means the end of me putting videos into Storyline as a Scorm wrapper!

Also it is more accurate than doing that because you have a percentage complete option! Thanks Articulate!

A problem we run into with mp4 videos and IE involves the quicktime plugin. Some of our users have quicktime installed and when they try to play a mp4 video in IE the quicktime plugin attempts to load it. Super slow, white screen, looks like nothing is happening and about 5 minutes later the video will start playing but 99.9% of people bail before that happens.

The easy solution for us is to uninstall quicktime from the windows control panel. Fixes it every time.

Hi Kyle,

Another good test if there is an LMS specific issue is to also upload content to SCORM Cloud, which is an industry standard for testing LMS content. It's free and has a limit of around 100 MB for an upload. This article will walk you through how to test there, and if your course is above the limit feel free to reach out to our Team here and the'll be happy to help with the testing as well.
