Hello, is there a way to insert a pop-up or a tooltip in Rise block? It would be a really useful feature to insert "nice to know information" which is not essential and readers can decide not to open.
I've just put in a feature request. I could sure do with this feature. Something that fits in with the surrounding text and images. Accordion is a visual feature in itself.
Feature request: "I need a low key interactive way of including definitions. So if someone mouse overs or clicks they can see the definition. The best I can do is use the accordion, however that is far too dominant in terms of the surrounding graphics. For example, a thinner version of the accordion with non-bold text, or tooltip label that triggers on mouse over."
I'm working on another course wanting tool tips again. It's still for the same purpose... not wanting to interrupt the narrative to provide definitions. It would be such a simple way to provide differentiated learning.
I have another project that so needs this. We have two official languages. I'd like to add translation to certain words that would make it so much easier for participants. But I'll have to use a glossary lesson that interrupts the flow of the learning.
Even if this was limited to one or two lines of text, it would be so helpful.
Please add this feature! With technical training, there are so many acronyms used. I would love to help less technical readers understand without bogging down everyone.
Hi this would be a very useful feature to have. As sara says there are many times where it will help to have as a quick reference to a concept or word.
Hi, I did create a bit of a work around for a popup window using the labelled graphic block, which I have also saved as a template block so I can reuse in other Rise projects. Check my post here
Thank you, Gerry. I'll be using your image marker trick ASAP! It's so good to find ways we can differentiate the learning for different abilities / interest levels.
HI Gerry, Not perfect (It would be nice to be able to make these notes right in the text to define certain words/acronyms easily.) But it's a lot better than my work-around and could work as a footnote/sidenote. I could also see creating a small logo/graphic that is repeated whenever there is a "Pro Tip" or even something that is just for the very very interested. Anyhow, thank you for your creativity! -Sara (NC)
Thanks Paul, here is another example where I used the same workaround, this time as a small glossary block, which again can be saved as a template block and reused. Cheers Gerry
Hi Sara, I agree it would be far easier if these types of elements were part of Rise already :) Also being in the same situation as yourself with needing to provide a glossary/acronyms again I had to create some workarounds please view here. Cheers Gerry

There is no popup function, you could use a single accordion tab to hold your nice to know information.

Thanks for taking the time to submit that request, Paul!
Same wish over here...thanks!
Just sharing that I had a specific request today from a client for just this feature ... thank you!
Still looking for this an option...any thoughts?
Hi there, Laura. We have interactive tool-tips on our roadmap. No release timeframe yet, but we'll keep you posted!

Great that interactive tool tips are on the road map. How close are they? We work with very technical content, tool tips would help us incredibly.
I'm sorry if we don't have a timeframe for the availability of this feature yet. I'll be sure to share it here as soon as we have updates.
I would love to have this as well. Per this thread from 2 years ago, it seems like a popular feature request...

Hi, I'm also looking for this feature. There doesn't seem to be another viable option. Is there a release date for this yet?
Hi Yvette! No updates yet. We'll update this thread once we make changes that will help!
I know it's only been a week - but sure could use this feature! Would be amazing to be able to have a tool-tip pop up for text inside a table.
Same here! I am looking for the same thing.
