Please verify the file type is an image and try again.
Im trying to upload an image into the labelled image and I get this error.
I have tried different browsers - I'm using Chrome now. Still not working to upload PNG or JPEG.
I desperately need to get past this ASAP

Hi everyone, the best solution is to optimize your file. Upload it to the following site: SVG Viewer - View, save, and optimize SVGs
Click optimize,
Click Download,
Upload it into your Rise project.
Worked perfectly for me.
Alternatively, save your Illustrator project as a SVG file, convert the font to outlines and embed the images (this worked for a time, but eventually Rise stopped accepting it).

Thanks for sharing this!
Hi there, Jo. We're seeing an issue with image files that have spaces in the name. While we're investigating, please edit the file name to remove or replace the spaces, and let me know if that works!
Hello again, Jo! This problem is now resolved. You should no longer have issues uploading an image with spaces in the file name.
Please refresh your browser to take advantage of this fix, and let us know if you run into any more trouble!

I'm experiencing this same issue now. I've tried different browsers and changing the file name. I uploaded an image into the Labelled Graphic interaction yesterday and it worked fine. Today that same image won't upload. I get the message: "Please verify the file type is an image and try again".
I need a resolution to this ASAP please.

Hi there any news on this?
I am having the same problems with my SVG file - I need to load it to the top of every page - it worked on one page, and then whatever I do it will not load again.
There are no spaces in the file name.
I have cleared my browser cache.

Hi Hazel
I tried other browsers but had the same issue.
In the end I got it to work by reducing the file name in length.
This does not explain why it worked fine to start with and then suddenly stopped working though.

Hi Lizzie! Thanks for letting us know that shortening the file name worked!

Hi,
I have the same problem here as well. I'am trying to upload a svg which I created in Illustrator (with reduced file name...). It worked in the past without problems.
