Preview not working in Storyline 2

Hi,
The preview functionality suddenly stopped working. It was working in the morning but suddenly the preview of all existing/new storyline projects show show a blank slide, irrespective of whether I preview a slide, scene, or project. Also the audio play function/preview is not working. Attached is a screenshot of what happens when I preview a slide. Also I have reinstalled Storyline 2 as well as flash player. Would be great if you could help.

for Windows 7 or Windows Vista
when u click on the link "uninstaller" and confirm that, This will erase all your files , even the hidden.

after that download and extract Flash Player archive 20.0.0.228 on your computer https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_20.0.0.228_archive.zip
Thanks for the updates everyone, glad the workaround is working for you in the meantime.
Thanks Leslie, it worked great!
I've also found a 'sort of' work around, though it isn't the most ideal. You can still publish to web, and save the file to your desktop and open the story file to preview it there. You'll have to re-publish every time you change something, but for those that can't roll back the flash update, this is another workaround.

When can we expect this to be fixed? My company will not allow me to install/unistall on my computer so I am stuck working on a project that is due and I can't preview.
Hi Sarah!
I do not have a time frame to share. By responding here, you should be subscribed to the thread now and I will provide an update when applicable.
The good news is that your course should work just fine when published.
This is a problem for my team. Our company has everything on lockdown and adding/removing programs has to go through our IT department. Most are off for the holiday and some of us have a project due today.
Hi Karen!
You should still be able to publish your project if needed.
You can publish, you just can't preview to see if it is all working correctly which is a bit of a disaster.
If you publish to web, and just save it to your desktop and then open the
file called story, you can preview it. It's just a bit tedious, but still
works.
I'm continuing to watch this board for any updates. In the meantime, is it "safe" to continue working on Storyline2 projects without any issues? I'd like to continue building training modules and can check and fine tune the functionality later.
Yes, that works, but it's a real work bog down to animate 50 slides and not be able to use the cue points.
Add me to the list too.
Hi Brandon! By posting here, you should now be subscribed to the thread and any updates will be shared here :)
Update for Windows 8.1 users
If you are using Windows 8, Flash Player is now embedded into the operating system for Internet Explorer so there is no need to manually install. Updates will automatically be made available through the built in Windows Update system.
So that is bad news for us trying to uninstall the latest flash version.
Workaround for IE 11
Because Internet Explorer is a Windows feature, you can't uninstall it, but you can turn it off. Here's how:
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.)

Thanks Wendy!
Hi Nancy - you can manually subscribe to threads as well. Just for future reference.
Ditto.
I had the same problem. It was working Monday evening but stopped Tuesday morning. I followed Tim's directions and it resolved the issue! Thank you Tim!
Thanks Articulate for working on a fix; I am one of the people who cannot "roll-back" to a previous version of Flash and I am also trying to complete a project. HAPPY NEW YEAR! ;)
I was having this issue as well. Thankfully the solution Tim provided worked for me. Thank you for posting Tim!
Hi Tim!
I did see another user mention in a similar thread the following:
If you go to the Adobe Site and download this uninstaller, you are then able to install and older version. Here is the link:
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html#main
Perhaps that'll work for you?
I do not have admin rights to my work laptop to install/uninstall programs. :(
You should be able to publish your project still Tim.
