Preview not working in Storyline 2

Hi,
The preview functionality suddenly stopped working. It was working in the morning but suddenly the preview of all existing/new storyline projects show show a blank slide, irrespective of whether I preview a slide, scene, or project. Also the audio play function/preview is not working. Attached is a screenshot of what happens when I preview a slide. Also I have reinstalled Storyline 2 as well as flash player. Would be great if you could help.

Hi Philip,
There is no real fix yet. I'd rather call it workaround . I guess one need to be carefull with it after the real fix (from Microsoft and/or Adobe) comes true. Cause with the current workaround you make potential "hole" both in Windows security and Windows autoupdate

..and, Philip, I forgot. It seems to be true fixed for Win7 and Vista users. So, mentioned in the same workaround
Is there a time estimate on when a fix will be in place? Since I work in a corporate environment I can not roll back my version of Flash and I need the fix ASAP.

Just received a followup message from Articulate support. They said that they "believe that the Flash Player version 20.0.0.270, will be available in the next few days for Windows 8 and 10 users."

and the problem was solved ( I use windows 8.1).
Whew! thanks guys. Got it fixed on Win 8.1 with IE browser.
Rolled back Flash player until a new fix is available.
I just encountered this problem and found this thread. I uninstalled Flash and installed a version from early November. Preview STILL isn't working. Is there a particular version you recommend rolling back to? (The version I installed is working correctly in browsers.)

Hey, I think they just released the fix.
I have Windows 10 and just uninstalled Flash Player and then checked my Updates and there was a new one for Flash Player, installed it and now my preview is working again!

Yes Windows 10 is updated and fixed, you can see our updated documented here - and the following is from Adobe Staff:
"Microsoft will be making an update (KB3133431) available today for Flash Player 20.0.0.272 ActiveX on Windows 10. This update addresses both the embedding issue and a crash reported by customers. The update should be available via the Windows Update settings panel.
We're continuing to work with Microsoft to explore options for Windows 8.x users and will keep this thread updated."

Hi Team, I've done the update of Flash, Shockwave and checked the internet security and Chrome plug-ins and still cannot preview. What do I do now? Please advise.

We are still having problems. I have a whole team who need to be able to preview.
Rolling back Flash is a bit of a bad fix if Flash was updated to solve security issues.
I am on windows 8 - so is most of my team.

Hi Pam - Are you utilizing Win 8? An update has not been released yet according to this documentation.
Hi Lizzie - I do not have a timeline to provide, but as you can see from the documentation above, Adobe is working to correct.
I may have missed the answer to my question in this thread, but has Storyline fixed the Preview bug that required us to rollback our version of the Flash player? I can preview now, except unfortunately everything else I use that requires the current version of the Flash Player won't work and I'd like to update it as soon as Storyline works with it.
