HeroLand- an adventure built within Storyline (and only storyline)
Nov 03, 2016
Hi all,
It's been an amazing year and with the latest developments from Articulate it's going to be another great one, however I wanted to show you all what can actually be done with Storyline 2 just by itself. This is more of an experiment, but to be honest would (still might) be my entry if there is a Guru challenge this year. But as things might be changing soon, I thought I'd give one last shoutout to one of the best design tools out there.
So here's the link - enjoy!
Sincerely, Rick

Great job, Richard! Love this! I've been wanting to do movement like this in a course!

Wow! What more can I say!
This is absolutely the best I have seen in Storyline to date!!
I had to wait until the end to view all the eBits as I was totally engaged in the story and needed to finish. Kudos, congrats and thanks for sharing such an excellent example of what Storyline can do.

Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to avchieve the scrolling effect. I mean having a background image that users can scroll through ? I've seen others exemples of that but I can't think how it's done in SL...
This is something amazing fabulous incredible
Thank you
Hello Fabrice,
You should be able to find what you're looking for here.
Wow, I've never seen anything like it!
Thanks but I was not talking about scrolling panels. More like how to make a parrallax effect...
Hi Fabrice, there are no tutorials I know of on doing exactly what I've done, except for the ebits videos within heroland itself. Actually there are 2 videos that very briefly explain my methods on parallax. Hope that helps.
Don't worry folks, we're going to get Richard to share plenty of how-tos on this project:-)
Here's an older and considerably more basic explanation of what Richard did:

Congratulations!!!
That's AmAzing!! Cannot believe it is completely done by Storyline without any other software. I am not a gamer, so can anyone tell me how to get through "Show us the key" when the girl met the monster? I have already watered the flower and flied out the bird. Really want to continue this amazing game.
Thank you so much ! :-)
