HeroLand- an adventure built within Storyline (and only storyline)
Nov 03, 2016
Hi all,
It's been an amazing year and with the latest developments from Articulate it's going to be another great one, however I wanted to show you all what can actually be done with Storyline 2 just by itself. This is more of an experiment, but to be honest would (still might) be my entry if there is a Guru challenge this year. But as things might be changing soon, I thought I'd give one last shoutout to one of the best design tools out there.
So here's the link - enjoy!
Sincerely, Rick

This is extraordinary. No custom animation files? Entirely in Storyline?
Yes! I got it with the help of a kind lady replied! Richard, you are a genius!
Thanks Wendy.
AH
I'm speechless... I never imagined you could create something like this with just Storyline. Inspiring!
Incredible work, Richard! Some old school RPG gaming there. One of the best (if not the best) things I've ever seen designed in Storyline 2. Thanks for sharing - you've certainly raised the bar!
Wow man, Little early for the Guru entry :P Blownnn Away!! Hands down the best work in articulate ever seen!
Superb!
Mic drop...I have no words...
This is incredible. Who is Richard Hill and where do I sign up to be his apprentice?
I sooooo agree.... Master, yes, Master.
Bravo!
Very cool! I could only interact with the bird and water the plant. Couldn't find a key to get past the totem pole.
Amy: The key to getting past the totem pole is in the hint given after watering the plant. It's subtle, but it's there. :)
Hats off !! to such a wonderful work Richard.
This is awesome! It really shows there are no limits with Storyline accept with imagination! Well done!

Hi Paula, I was stumped for a while (at least 5-10 minutes) on the first screen as well. You have to find the watering can, fill it up, and water the flower. The flower will grow and the petals light up in a sequence which, if you click the arrow directions in the sequence shown on the flower, will lead you to a hidden place to find the key.

Now that we have seen that a dog can be taught to miaow, (and that many have commented on how long it must have taken to teach it) I guess it remains to be seen whether upcoming updates of Storyline will bring these capabilities more readily within the grasp of we lesser mortals...
This is honestly so inspiring. I can't wait to try some of these techniques myself. Any extra help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Heroland is the most amazing Storyline adventure I've seen Richard. You've put a lot of time into this and it shows, thanks for sharing.
OUTSTANDING bit of work Richard! Wow! Now I know I have a TON to learn!
This is the most impressive thing I have saw on this page so far. You are a real e-learning hero sir. Very well done.
I got all the way to the end. Well Done!! Great job! Kudos!! I agree with Anthony that this had to take hours to create. Thank you for sharing, I was mesmerized.
Wow! This is amazing! I really enjoyed playing Heroland and it's given me a lot of inspiration to create more in-depth interactions - thankyou!
That was wonderful. Thank you for making this.
