Quizmaker 360 lets you choose which options and controls are included on your quiz player. To customize your player, go to the Home tab on the Quizmaker ribbon and click Player.

When the Player Properties window appears, the Features button will already be selected on the ribbon. Just choose the options you want. As you make changes on the left side of the window, the preview area on the right will update to reflect your choices.

Displaying the Quiz Title

Mark the Quiz title box to display a title in the top left corner of your player. If you'd prefer not to display a title, uncheck the box.

The quiz title defaults to the name of your project file, but you can change it. Just enter your title in the corresponding field. (Changing the title won’t change the name of your project file; it'll only change the title that displays in your published quiz.) The maximum length for a quiz title is 80 characters.

Tip: You can also define your quiz title in Quiz Properties.

Displaying the Question List

Want to give your learners a drop-down list of slides in your quiz? Mark the box called Display question list on, and use the selector to choose whether it'll display on the Topbar Right or Topbar Left. (To learn more about customizing the question list, see this user guide.)

If you want to control the order in which learners view your quiz slides, you may want to consider turning off the question list. Or, you can enable the question list but restrict the navigation.

Choosing the Answer Submission Method

Choose when learners will submit their answers for evaluation—one question at a time or all at once at the end of the quiz.

Submit one question at a time

Choose this option to require learners to submit their answers after each question. When they submit an answer, they’ll see feedback you've added to that question before moving on to the next question.

Learners won’t be able to go back and change their answers (though they can review questions and answers if you've enabled the question list).

You must use this submission method if you want to show feedback after each question or if you want to branch learners to specific slides based on their responses.

Submit all at once

Choose this option to let learners wait until the end of the quiz to submit all their answers at once. They can move back and forth between the questions, and they can even change their answers at any time until they submit them at the end of the quiz.

Quizmaker won’t display feedback, since answers aren't evaluated unless they're submitted one at a time. This method works well if you don’t need to show feedback or use branching. It's also a good option if you don’t want learners to know how they performed until the end of the quiz.

If you choose this submission method, you can also let learners submit their answers without finishing the quiz by marking the box to Allow user to finish without answering all questions.

By default, Quizmaker requires learners to scroll to the end of lengthy questions before submitting their answers, but you can turn this feature off by unchecking the box to Require user to scroll to bottom on longer questions.

Displaying a Volume Controller and Seekbar

Want to let learners control the volume or scrub back and forth through the timeline of each slide? Just enable these options:

Volume

Mark this box to display a volume slider in the lower left corner of your player.

Seekbar

Mark this box to include a seekbar at the bottom of the player. The seekbar will include play/pause and rewind buttons.

Switching Between Submit and Prev/Next Buttons

Navigation buttons are automatically added to all your quiz slides. By default, question slides have Submit buttons and content slides have Prev/Next buttons. However, if you’d prefer to use Prev/Next buttons for all your quiz slides, just change the answer submission option to submit all your questions at once at the end of the quiz.

Saving Player Changes

When you click OK to close the Player Properties window, Quizmaker saves your player customizations in your project file.

If you'd like to use the same customizations in other projects, click Current Player on the ribbon and choose Save. Enter a name for your custom player if you're prompted and click OK.

To learn more about the Current Player options, see this user guide.
