Don’t Let These Examples Zoom By You
Adding zoomable areas to e-learning courses is a great way to highlight important content and a useful way to make small text or details more visible for learners. Whether you’re sharing a map of an area, a graphic with important details, or a document with small text, you’ll want to consider letting learners zoom in on the content so they can take a closer, and clearer, look at the information you’re sharing.
There are countless ways you can use zoom regions in e-learning. For inspiration, check out these community examples:
- Have a peek at how a zoom effect lets you hone in on different parts of a map in this World Map Example by Joanne Chen.
- Check out this interactive Analysis of Las Meninas, a famous fifteenth-century painting by Diego Velázquez. This example, created by Jodi Sansone, includes sound effects and historical facts
- Try this Human Body example by Andrzej Jabłoński, which allows you to view different parts of the human anatomy.
- Learn about Safari Animals in this example by Shannon Fineran that uses interactive markers to give you a closer look at each animal and associated facts.
